how do i transfer video on to my laptop

i have recorded some thing that i want to edit but there is no wire that will connect my video camera to my lap top, people keep saying a need a fire wire but that does not have a usb port at the end of it can any one help.

u cud try uploading it to a website if ur laptop has connection then download it to the destination pc maybe?

well with firewire you can transfer to your computer, go to any store which is selling firewire and ask them how it works, your cam should not have usb port, but it should have small firewire port. also if you dont have that too, then you need to buy buzzel or any video-input device for your computer, then you can use red, white and yellow wire to connect to your cam on your computer :)

well ive got a g4 i mac and i connect to that with a fire wire but there are no ports for that wire to be put into my laptop i need something with a usb at the end of it.

your laptop should have usb, if it dose not have it, then try s-video (its with 8 pins and its shape its small round circle)
