real to mpeg

How can we change real to mpeg? What software? Is it free?

I don't know of any software that can read Realmedia formats and convert them to other formats. Real is a pretty proprietary format, both audio and video, so your best bet would be application that can extra the video by reading it from the screen, and then rawly compressing it from that, if it's possible.

You can use winAVI to convert from real to AVI then any tool from AVI to mpeg like TMPEG etc.. if quality of .rm is good then you shouldn't lose any quality in the conversions.. winAVI and TMPEG do a great job
