Assalaamu 'Alaykum,

A few brothers on MPADC have started publishing islamic books into e-book
format for your PDA ! There are a lack of these services online, and when you do find islamic publications in e-book format online, they end up being published by non muslims, mostly christian organizations, so to preserve the authenticity of these books and make them more legitimate, why not be published by muslims.

MPADC will be making an islamic e-book library from as many islamic material as possible insha allah. We will be doing the Quran translations in english(translation fo the meaning), the sahih bukhari/muslim, 40 hadith an nawawi, etc. and many others, and right now, our first one, with the help of brother Sadiq to get it started, is Al Raheeq Al Makhtum.

Open the Zip file attached, select OPEN FROM CURRENT LOCATION, and install the file to your pda ! Since the book was published with MobiPocket, and you don't have an e-book reader on your PDA, just download the MobiPocket Reader for PDA at http://mobipocket.com/en/DownloadSoft/DownLoadReaderStep1.asp .

More to come soon ! Many people are joining the effort to get these publications out there. Insha Allah, so you can learn islam on the go, or while travelling. Insha Allah make dua for those who are helping.

Assallamu aliakum and greetings of peace.

May Allah reward and assist brothers from mpadc.com and others who are helping to make this deen accessible and available to all.

This book is one of the most famous books around and one that was chosen to be 'tested' and done first.

Its really cool, and if you have a PDA, do try it out.

More will be out, as brother Ibn Batutah has said, and other ones will be less than 200kb. More space for your work on your PDA systems.

Watch out for more. (The Quran will be out ;) ).

Sadiq.

Assallamu aliakum.

"Islamic Services on PDA."

For those who wish to help on this project done via mpadc.com, these are the books that need to be converted and published into PDA/Palm Format.

Quran;
Translation: Abdullah Yusuf Ali.
Translation: M.M Khan.

Hadith collections;
Bukhari
Sahih Muslim
Riyad ul Salehin.
Imam Nawawis 40 Hadith.
Muwatta.
FORTY_HADITH_QUDSI

(some of the above can be done in separate books, for example;
Book of Manners (Sahih Bukhari) with contents.)

Seerah Books;
Sealed Nectar [done]

These are some of the major ones needed. Insha-allah, those who help with this service for this ummah, will be rewarded for their efforts.

For those who wish to join in and help out, these are some of the requirements;

1-You know simple/basic html.
2-You are willing to work in a specific book by a set time (1/2 weeks).
3-You have msn/e-mail, to contact brother ibn batutah/myself.

This project will be done 2 ways.

1-Coding, which is your part, to do some basic html coding with a large text doc (the book) and
you will complete the coding of the files needed to make a PDA file.(1-the book, 2-the contents page)

2-After completing the coding of that specific book, you will be required to send it to ibn batutuah, to convert/edit/join and create the end product: the E-Book.

If you have time, and if you would like to get reward, then this is an opportunity not to miss something done as a form of dawah, and helping the deen become accessible to all.

Thankyou,
On behalf of "Islamice Services on PDA" Project of mpadc.com
Brother Sadiq.

couldn't we just cut/copy/paste if its in electronic format?..as for tajweed bro, its very difficult sibject to put into a book format, because its a practical subject...i assume you will merely compile it into pda format and not author it? [unless of course you have a ijazaa on tajweed from those in authority to give you one?]

brother big byte, about the authorisation fromthe book author that isnt a problem, insha allah i want to do this because for every1 because it will be a great way to learn tajweed, as there are many tajweed books around we can always compile an electronic version, i was thinking of creating an e-book first and then making a Macromedia Flash related tajweed thing/Animation or whatever u wanna call it. i think the flash based idea is good wat do u think?
