Many people say that this method of earning your living is not right. I can't understand this because even when Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H.) migrated to Madinah, he was welcomed by the people of Madinah by playing music and the people were dancing etc., etc.. Please tell me what does Quran says about this and whether it is mention in The Quran that music is haram or halal. Please also tell whether there is an hadith regarding this matter.

Music is prohibited in the Shari’ah.

In view of the above, any income accrued from Haraam sources is also Haraam. Income by arranging musical concerts is also Haraam.

er yeah! i found a course music with marketing but its a degree course in buckinghamshire and i dnt want to another degree already in the middle of doing buisness info systems degree!

Thank Allah I didn't listen to guys like many who came out with what I read.

Anyway sis..there are sort of courses, degrees for what you doing but I am learning it all on my own but it be good if you did learn it through degrees etc That way you get close to the contacts such as producers etc. Go for it.

You can even get funding which I can show you how to set up your own filming or any arts projects. Go sister, learn it and use it afterwards for spreading Islam and fight the propaganda machines while many bros twiddle their beards delivering sermons.

I think many forget their bank accounts gathers interests due to their student loans, and the country they live in is also bueing run by haram money, and that the companies they work for is also built through interest (ribia) and millions of other things, and the education system they student under is kufur system, and the songs their children sing in assemblies is kufur. And compromises are made every friday because they scared to tell their boss to get lost 'I'm gonna do my friday prayer not in that rcrummy room but in the mosque with my ummah, and mant talk about music is haram, and yet is not also extravangance too in material, and u go in their homes and its is filled with the latest TV with awesome remote control, and latest DVD, and new car with newest plate for this year, and then they say 'I love Muhammad (SAW) and yet know nothing about him but know of him.


Soon they will tell you children, your children can't play with dolls and yet Aisha (R.A.A) played with dolls and Muhammad (SAW) use to watch and even joined in, and Umar (R.A.A.) would be harsh on Aisah for doig so but Muhammad (SAW) would say to him to leave her alone and let her play, and Tribes danced in front of Muhammad (SAW) while Aisha (R.A.A) watched behind him until she grew tired.

Thank Allah, Mighty is He, Merciful is He, that I didn't listen to such harsh words because Islam became so hard but when I followed truth it became easy, so easy that prayer was warmth, coolness to the heart and soul and my mind.

Go and learn sister and be the best and return to your Ummah with such skills and share them and use them for the sake of Allah!
