ASA,

does anyone out here know of a program that can convert rm (realplayer format) to mp3 or wav format..??

most of the websites use the rm because it is more compressed and take less space, i would like to be able to download the rm files convert them to wav or mp3 so that I can hear them on a regular CD..

Any HELP!!!

ASA Ibn Batuta,

I downloaded the program that you mentioned to convert rm to wav. after I installed, it couldn't restart because of a missing dll file. anyway I got the dll file and paste in the same directory the audio program was in. it worked, then I converter a couple of rm files on my hard disk to wav file. worked fine but when I tried to burn them to a cd, it gives me an error message saying "wrong wav format" or something like that.

have you converted rm to wav before and burn them to a cd??

I use RecordNow and I choose make music cd option...

let me know what you think...!

i have a question... that needs tending to..

i have a collection of original qur'aan cds that have just been recently recorded by a tahfiz, and I need to have it converted to mp3 for streaming on Allaah.info..

converting it is not a prblem, but how would I go about uploading megatons of bytes to my remote server via ftp without breaking it? coz some surah, like say Surah AlBaqarah is pretty huge.. and would be a pain for dialup users to dload later for listening to it.. {bband users would see the benefit of this -- but I'd like to cater it for all irrespective the bandwidth}

so what is the best compression rate to convert wav to mp3?

thank you,

AA
